Our Partners
India’s vibrant public health sector has undertaken some landmark measures to safeguard the public health of India. We work with both national and state authorities to advocate on critical development issues as well as undertake campaigns to generate greater public awareness.
We work directly with the impacted communities to identify the challenges on the ground, craft key advocacy campaigns, and work with them to advocate and sensitize key policy makers and stakeholders. We work with them to create platforms where they can directly articulate and highlight these messages for the media and other key stakeholders. For instance, our work on TB involves bringing the survivors’ perspective to the fore,
in the absence of a robust system which drives policy making.
India also has a vast but a heterogeneous private health sector. For almost 60% of the Indian population, the private sector continues to remain the first point of care. Given its reach, it is imperative to partner with the private sector and innovatively communicate key development issues. We work closely with leading technical experts from a variety of fields to identify innovative solutions and highlight those in the mainstream.
Our work has focused on providing survivors and disease-affected individuals the center stage by telling their stories from their perspective. Our goal is to provide narratives that share information on how patients interact with doctors, health systems, families, and communities.
